If you’re looking for slideshow software that’s easy to use and produces fairly high-quality results, then inAlbum 2.5 Deluxe may be for you. But, if you want software that gives you tons of features and a telephone support—then this product simply can’t deliver.

Ease of Use:  

inAlbum 2.5 Deluxe is broken into five easy-to-navigate tabs: Collect Photo, Edit Photo, Customize Template, Decorate Show and Music and Settings. These tabs take you through the entire slideshow creation process, which, albeit easy, is fairly limited.

Design Features:  

Although inAlbum 2.5 Deluxe doesn’t offer many of the features we looked for, it does offer a full template designer—which lets you customize buttons, borders, colors and so on—and you can also add clipart to any of the slides. We found both of these features very useful.

However, you can’t create auto-run CDs or DVDs, drag-and-drop photos, add video clips or audio sync your music with this program.

Input/Output:  

InAlbum is limited to only a few publishing options, while importing requires additional uploading and reformatting, severely limiting your options for finished and unfinished photo slideshows.

Slideshow Quality:  

The picture quality of inAlbum 2.5 Deluxe is relatively good. You can also add custom templates for an even better looking slideshow. However, there is only one transition available with this program, which can leave a slideshow feeling flat and uninteresting.

Help/Support:  

inAlbum 2.5 Deluxe offers help and support in the form of a help manual, tutorials, FAQs, and technical support via email. But, if you’re the type of person that likes to have an operator available for assistance, then this product isn’t for you.

Summary:  

inAlbum 2.5 Deluxe is a highly-capable program for creating basic slideshows, but simply can’t produce when it comes to making richer, more professional-level shows. For professional-grade features and quality, look to the top-rated Polaroid My Memories Suite .
