Slideshow Quality:  

DVD SlideShow Builder’s picture quality is impressive with music syncing options providing easy and intuitive design. The finished product simply didn’t provide the same level of professionalism and quality found with the top-rated products. The transitions and animations are very simple and not very exciting. On the plus side, it does export in widescreen, HD and Blu-ray formats (depending on your hardware capabilities).

Help/Support:  

Help and Support is sorely lacking. Eventually we did find a support page for the product with a Chinese phone number listed and links to FAQs and live chat but nothing seemed to work. The live chat wasn’t operational and the FAQs are not helpful. About the only thing they provide is a user manual.

In short, DVD SlideShow Builder is a good software program if you’re looking to make simple, sharp-looking slideshows. With additional features, increased help/support, improvements in quality and additional input/output options, Wondershare Software could become a contender. For now though, we suggest choosing #1-ranked Magix Photostory on CD & DVD Deluxe.
